Aprilia Aprilia was founded immediately after the Second World War by Cavaliere Alberto Beggio. For many years they developed small capacity motorcycles with great success. But in 1998 Aprillia developed a bigger engined model called the RSV Mille. The Mille was a serious sports model and proved to be tough competition for its rivals of the day such as the Ducati 916. Building on that success Aprilia has continued to lead in its class with a range of innovative designs. To book a test ride or for further information on Aprilia motorcycles and scooters, please contact us or drop by our Ringwood or Brighton stores.

RSV 1000 R FACTORY
The Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory was the fastest bike around ten out of twelve curves and the fastest in top speed at the end of six out of twelve straights. The Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory did not just win, it dominated the final of the 2006 Master Bike, thanks to amazingly safe braking, rapid yet smooth and precise control when leaning into curves, excellent rear wheel feel under acceleration and, last but not least, a final drive gear ratio specially calculated for effective racing.
This year’s Master Bike has scientifically and conclusively demonstrated that the Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory is the most efficient winning machine on the racetrack. It is also the first non-Japanese bike to dominate the final points table, and the most impressive V twin in the competition.

RSV 1000 R
Aprilia is celebrating its impressive sporting record by giving the 200 limited edition RSVs new graphics taken directly from the bike that finished third in the Superstock class at the legendary “Bol d’Or”, the most famous 24 hour motorcycle endurance race in the world.
In a season when Aprilia is celebrating 200 wins in GP World Championship racing, what better choice of graphics could there be for Aprilia’s top-of-the-range sports model than graphics inspired by the Aprilia AF1 bikes that brought the company its first GP victories in the early 1980s.

RS 125
The RS 125 is the undisputed leader among 125 cc supersports. Aprilia has always led the field in lightweight sports bikes, pioneering new concepts and advanced solutions, and developing technology that others have had to struggle to follow. Like all Aprilia sports motorcycles, the RS 125 has benefited from the sophisticated technology that has been developed over years of success in GP racing, and quickly transferred into production. Over the years, the RS 125 has forged a reputation as the standard setter for sports 125’s. Sales success has come naturally too, with the RS 125 topping the sales tables on all European markets. SXV 4.5 - 5.5
2006 was a great year for Aprilia in off-road racing, with the rider’s and manufacturer’s titles in the S2 class of the Supermotard World Championship as well as excellent results in the Enduro World Championship. From computer timings to dirt tracks, from the drawing board to the supermotard circuit, Aprilia’s off-road teams and their development staff have not only won races in the field, but have invented, developed and tested new solutions to further improve on a machine that was already acknowledged as the perfect ‘rider’s bike’.
Aprilia has again shown its dedication to transferring competition technology directly to production motorcycles. The RXV and SXV are to all intents and purposes road-going competition bikes. Totally uncompromising, these machines are designed with just one thing in mind. Winning.

RXV 4.5 - 5.5
The design of the new Aprilia RXV 4.5/5.5 model year 2008 owes much to the concept of constant evolution in the name of competition. Experience gained in the Enduro World Championship, which saw Aprilia Racing at the top of the field, plus valuable hints and suggestions from four times world champion Stefan Merriman, the team’s top rider, have enabled Aprilia’s engineers and designer to transfer advances from racing to production. Impressive team work has led to a number of major improvements over the 2007 bike, making the 2008 RXV even more “race ready”, and better equipped to satisfy the demands of professionals and amateurs alike.
Aesthetically, the 2008 RXV looks meaner than ever thanks to new graphics, a two-tone black and red seat, brand new, lightweight racing headlight, and a distinctly aggressive nose. Even the tail light is new. In conjunction with general refinements, these important new details have also led to a significant reduction in dry weight, down by 4 kg to only 113 kg.
